The newswires are alive with news that GM’s unsecured bondholders have agreed to a new deal to swap their debt for equity in the “new” GM.

According to MSNBC, GM bondholders will still get 10% of the company in exchange for giving up $27 billion in debt. As a sweetener, GM would give them the option to buy up to 15% if they did not oppose the government sponsored deal. They also called the government’s bluff that there was a substantial risk that they would get even less should GM file for bankruptcy.

Filipino TV and movie actor crashed his Nissan Syline GT-R last May 23 along a unlit stretch of highway in Tagytay. While the actor escaped with minor head injuries, his assistant sitting in the passenger seat was also injured. However, a second passenger, sleeping in the back was killed. (more…)
