Daewoo Matiz CreativeOk, so its not exactly called the Spark…yet. But GM Daewoo has launched its Matiz replacement imaginatively called the Matiz Creative. This is the final, production version of the Beat concept car showed last 2007. The new Matiz has two more doors than the concept and, of course, doesn’t transform into a small robot.

No, its not the 2-seat wheelchair called the P.U.M.A, but these 4 cars listed below. Combined, they are capable of selling more than 500,000 units worldwide annually. But more importantly, they’ll help repair the tarnish of the bow-tie badge. Better styling, upscale interior appointments, and a better range of engines should move more people into the showrooms in the next few months. I just hope that the bring over these products already as GM is really starved of anything to compete against the Toyotas and Hondas. BTW, all these cars are in production now…

Chevrolet Beat/Matiz debuts in Seoul

GMDAT, the joint-venture between GM and Daewoo are debuting the new Matiz at the Seoul International Motor Show. Known as the Beat in the US, it’s be GMs newest global mini-car going up against the Toyota iQ and Aygo, Hyundai i10, Kia Picanto, Citroen C2, and the Ford Ka. (more…)
